Automatic Landing Lights

I found one can unclick the option where the pilot controll aircraft lights. I like this option especially when coming into a very busy airport flying the A321.

It helps when the "Auto-pilot" could handle all lights and me the radio and flying. Yet when I do unclick the option the landing lights fail to be operated automatically.

Any reason why, or am I doing something wrong?

Regards,

Mouse  ;)

Landing lights should be on below 10,000ft for commercial aircraft ...... so as part of the landing sequence they should already be on and therefore not adding to the workload.

Depends on airline policy.

I'd say have 'em on below 4000ft, and off above 10000ft. Everything in between is your choice.

I'm trying to focus landing the plane instead of turning on the lights, so I turn them on as soon as I descend through FL100.
