VC Gauges...

Postby Jakemaster » Sat Jun 30, 2007 12:00 am

...well if you know FS well (you know who you are) you know that in FS9 you can't have more than 1 or maybe 2 VCockpit entries in the panel or else the gauges are jumpy.  I noticed that this is NOT the case in FSX.  The Simmers Sky MD-11 has 7 VCockpit entries.  In FS9, it is so jumpy that I never flew it.  In FSX it is very smooth and I've flown it a lot (well not that much, but I haven't been playing very much lately because of work).  So don't worry about that anymore and if you know of any planes that had that problem in FS9 I encourage you to try them in FSX.  I can't think of that many right now but I'm sure it will come to me ;)

Oh, on this topic, FSX does not read negative values in cockpit entries, so some FS9 aircraft will not have a functioning VC.

In VCs of some FS9 cockpits there are negative values.  A gauge position is defined by four numbers and sometimes they are negative because of the way the panel area was defined.
