scenery compatability?

Do any of the other sceneries work in FSX, such as terrain mesh or textures?  There doesn't seem to be any mention of them in the tutorials.  None of the 2004 FS files say (duh, that's because they were written before FSX).

Meshes work, "texture add-ons" like Ground Environment won't.

The reason why this is so is due to the files themselfs a mesh is a picture of the area defined by so many pixels and at so big where a scenery file is a designed picture you might even say painted and because of the differances in the way the two sims work you will not be able to use FS9 scenery for FSX but a mesh file is a mesh file and should work no matter which FS you put it in 8-)
