Ram is probably killing you.  I am maintaining 20 FPS with 1 GB, but just barely.

I'm running a AMD X2 4200+, 2gigs rams, and a nividia 7900 GT and still have trouble at some spots getting above 20FPS

All the flight sims need tweaking for your personal best performance. It just takes time and trial and error

Good luck!  8-)

You know what also helps?  Running FSX when you first boot up your computer.  I.e., don't boot up, go onto SimV for an hour and a half, then go to anet for two hours, etc.  before running FSX.  If you do, shut down the computer and let it rest for a while.

Edit:MFS2004 worked perfectly on my comp.NEVER had a problem.just letting ya know.

"Scenery" on ultra-high is not recommended for a system like yours. Medium high is the highest I'd set it to.

Whilst it may not all be about FPS, a modicum of it is certainly needed to make the simulator at least enjoyable and usable.  The guy who started this thread was not someone on a power trip but a guy who is struggling and needs help.  Lets see his post again....

I am having trouble getting good Fps.It may work sometimes but when it doesnt its giveing me like 4-5 fps.I am having this problem at all setings. It works SOMETIMES but not always.Anybody else have this problem if so can you help me?

4-5fps is not going to be smooth by any means.  I`m so glad yours is doing the stuff for you but please don`t try and degenerate someones efforts to get there own working to some measure.  Or do you want this forum to be `I`m alright jack, stuff you`?  With your setup you should have it running a lot better than that anyway......

You know what also helps?

- reading the FAQ
- reading some past topics on the forum before asking a question
- etc...
