Hi im not new to flight sim x but i have been having this problume for a while now and what happends is i can connect the server but when i try to connect to a server and then pick a plane and all that i lose connection i have tryed alot of things but dident work please help me out if u can i have been trying stuff for months.  and do u have to press a button or somthing to get gates to work at the airport?

can anyone help me????

Are you trying to connect to a server for MULT-PLAYER or trying to connect to a server for REAL WORLD WEATHER? Please state which one so someone can help you out with the problem.

both i lose connection when i join server and try to choose my plane my connection used to work i dont know what happend it just started and i got other games and multi player works.
and are u talking about loging in? or a server? and can somone answer my question about the gates please. thank you.

gates: make sure advanced animations is checked then hit Ctrl+J when parked near one.

As for the server problems I'm not sure but the SP1 for FSX has caused me a lot of problems.  I was having the same problem as you seem to be so I uninstalled FSX and put on a fresh install, as well as SP1 and its seemed to clear up my problems.  I haven't tried Multi but I have my hopes.

yea thanks i have tryed reinstalling before and dident work i havent tryed sp1 but i will. and when im at a gate and click ctrl=j nothing happends. and ctrl=j is set to the jetway thingy. and i do got the advanced animations on.

Try increasing the timeout and keep alive figures after pressing the network settings button which you'll see when in the first screen when going into multiplayer.

Then your video card is most likely not able to do it. What type of card do you have?

i have a nvidia geforce FX 5200.0 and yea steve that worked thanks.

Go to your main FSX directry and find a file called display.cfg
Open this file using note pad.
Once open scroll down and look for "NVidia Cards"
once you find that look in that section for this:

NVIDIA GeForce FX5200
