Make sure you did everything correctly when editing the Aircraft.cfg

Wait, sorry EGNX.  Now the aircraft is showing up on the menu, but there's no textures when I go to fly.  All other settings were turned to low, so it can't be that the textures were just taking a while to load...

No one can help you if you don't tell us what exactly what you did. Now please, post the part of the cfg. that you edited to get the texture, and we might be able to.

:)

I downloaded the file to check it out. I don't have the WoP B-17 to test it on but installation seems straightforward enough. This is quoted from README.TXT in the zipfile. [quote]INSTALLATION:

Drop the Texture.Sentimental Journey folder in this download into your WoP2_b17g folder, found in your FSX installation.

Copy and paste the info below into the aircraft.cfg file found in your WoP2_b17g folder. Make sure you change the X in the

also, make sure there are no false returns in the .cfg file that you are pasting.  I had that problem with the IAF f16...the config part they gave me to paste in had an extra return line (like hitting enter on the keyboard like this

see...extra line) and that made it not compile correctly.

make sure the "X" is changed to the next number in line, and the folder is correct with the texture, just like the above posted.

(wow...am i actually getting that comfortable that I am giving advice???)

Here's the relevant part of the .CFG, with another texture to check against

correct me if i am wrong, but would the caps in B-17G and B-17g have an issue?

Wait...where won't the pic show up?  when you select the airplane, where it is spinning around and you can get all sorts of angles to look at it?  If so, you have light bloom on, and that causes some of the planse not to show up.  Is that the problem, or is it when you have the game running and you are ready to fly?

Why did you think the general was the problem?

btw, the plane in the thumbs won't show up next to the other b17's if i read this correctly...the first one will show up in Wings of POWER, the new one will be under boeing, due to the ui_manufacturer settings....right?

If this still doesn't work, and assuming your first one works, try this...it worked for me...

Copy the original cfg part up to the general, paste it under the first one, but before the general, then just change the settings as needed to look just like the one you have now.  The one they sent you in the package could have an error on it.  You know the first one works, so just change the settings to reflect the new texture and change the fltsim to 2, and it should work.

If I am way off guys, tell me to put a sock in it please....

No, you're quite correct. I would change the ui_manufacturer=Boeing line in the new [fltsim2] entry to match the others so they all display under the same heading. This will tidy things up but won't affect whether the textures display or not.

ui_manufacturer=Wings of POWER

correct me if i am wrong, but would the caps in B-17G and B-17g have an issue?

No, it shouldn't make any difference.

Wait...where won't the pic show up?

where it's rotating.  There is a picture in the select aircraft screen, sorry about that.  i'll go try what you suggested...

Why did you think the general was the problem?

just because there was no space

If I am way off guys, tell me to put a sock in it please....

Don't ask me ;) ;)

When you select the plane, it then goes to where the plane should be rotating, right?  but it is all white on the screen where the plane should be?  Then this is your solution I think....

If it isn't showing up where the plane is rotating, don't try to do any config...this is the problem...i am 95% sure...you have the bloom on...go to the settings section, then the customize, then uncheck the "light bloom".  That should fix it...
