Can anybody tell me how many CD-ROMS come with the FSX deluxe version. I want to uninstall it and then re-install with SP1 on it. It is just that I chucked away all the packaging etc........

Yes that's correct but I now have another problem, I won't know the product code to register it again with microsoft. Do you think this will cause a problem or any idea??????

Sounds to me as if you do not have a legit copy, is that correct?

It is my understanding that if you activated FSX on the machine you want to reinstall it on, it will not ask for any info as I uninstalled then reinstalled to start clean with the service pack and there was no re-registering my copy.
If you are reinstalling this on a new machine, I will assume it is going to ask for the product code again.

Thanks for the advice. I have now actually realised where the box was - in the attic!! I haven't got a new computer it is just that I have tried SP1 and managed to improve FPS from about 3.5 to 12ish in New York with everything maxed out and I've heard that if you delete and reinstall it might improve things more. I have also tried loads of the tweaks of the config file.
My specs are as follows: 3.20 Ghz Pentium D, 2 GB Ram NVIDEA Geforce 7300GS
Do you think it's worth it or will I get any improvements??

No matter what your specs, you need to install the update ;)

I have already installed SP1 but have heard that if you uninstall and then reinstall FSX and then run SP1 again it will improve things.
I just don't know whether I can cope with waiting for FSX to reinstall - the first time it took hours!!!
