Sneak Peek...

Hehe. Sorry for spamming the board with my crazy schematics.  :-[

Here is a top secret photo from CVN-68...

Image

I am nearly done with it...and I have made an AMAZING discovery. While using Bjorns flex cam to get this angle...the camera...hit something solid...the deck. And it could NOT move past/through it until I forced it through. This could be a new 'era' of realism for VCs! No more panning through walls and the like...use the door!

Anyway, apart from a screenie and a discovery, I have a question...I am using the default Beaver .air file and .cfg file, with a tuned model and texture section for Nimitz. Contact points untouched, it keels over backwards, and goes "SPLASH!" in the water. If I modify the contact points to what I used for Caspian Sea Monster, it stays level, however, it jumps around quite alot. This is the only problem so far...help appreciated.

It jumps around ? With splash and everything right ?
I think those are possible causes:
- your FPS limit is set too high, the physical engine has not enough ressources, just like in FS9 when the planes "jumps" on the runway, after breifly falling through it
- the water where you are is not deep enough (this sounds dumb, I know, but I had the problem myself: there ARE some places in which the water is not deep as it should, you float AND you touch the ground at the same time
- the contact points are not set correctly

The camera cannot go through the ground or any landable surface, but walls are still unaffected, you can still go through them I think.
And I'm not sure anymore, but I think it was already like that in FS9....

The beaver "keels over" (didn't know that expression, I need to improve my english) backwards too, that's the reason. The caspian sea monster contact points are more suitable for sure.

Eh, it still jumps around, even with Caspian...I will try to fix it with the FPS limit though. Thanks. ;)
