...anyone wanna tell me where to find the CFG in Vista?  I want to try some of the tweaks (not that I really need them, getting 30FPS in average conditions with the nVidia suggested settings)

C:/Users/[User Name]/AppData/Microsoft

Edit: Its wrong hang on.... I must've made a mistake  :-[ I'll try to find it again. Just search fsx in the Explorer and it'll come up.

Edit2:C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

:)

Don't feel stupid - or don't feel you're on your own.  FSX has made us all feel that way.

I still find it hard to get to the cfg file using the address.  I just go to Search, put in fsx.cfg, and get a long list.  The correct one is easy to identify from its icon (Notepad).  Then put a shortcut to the desktop so you don't have to hunt again.

I sometimes wish I had never found it anyway.  If you leave it alone, and just work the sliders I am beginning to think the result is much the same.

TweakFS have a really good free utility called CFG Editor (or close) and it really is good.  I have become such a tweak addict - hooked on it by NickN, Miltestpilot and other pushers, that I have pinned the editor to the Start panel so I can get a fix anytime I feel the craving.
