Best performance

Postby barrymb » Mon Jun 04, 2007 9:29 pm

Hi
I just got a new hp with a Nvidia Ge force 7600 with 256 video memery, Intel core 2 duo. FSX does not run anywhere as good as 2004 ran on my 5 year old computer.  Flying over NYC, most of the landmarks are either missing or appear late. Gauges and other graphics appear choppy.
 Any suggestions?
What is the best way to use "settings"?

      Thank    Barry

FSX is power hungry, youll need more then a 7600 with 256mb and a core 2 duo. Also how much ram do you have? That would make a major diffrence.  I have a high end computer and still have trouble with FSX So I feal your expecting too much out of FSX. There are ways to help but I'll leave someone elce for that part.

Make sure you have SP1. It drastically helped me.

As you have an Nvidia graphic card, check out this link / page from the top of the Simviation FSX forums:

There are some good Nvidia tweaks and setting suggestions there!

The setting suggestions on that site are pure garbage. They make FSX look horrible.

I strongly agree, this "Nvidia Users Tweks, Very Good" link should be removed.
