I think I have severe issue

Postby alrot » Mon Jun 04, 2007 2:29 pm

When I load the Game In some aircraft ,especialy the Baron 58 , my video with my entire PC hang after a minutes of taking off in in outside and inside view, leaving a frozzen image (no activity)

I though it was my video card so this is what I did in my Nvidia 6200

1)I place a fan where the headsink of the video card prosesor, and check with my hand the temp of it and It did lower it

2)I unistall & reinstall My drivers

3) I took off the FSX.cfg folder in other to create a new one

The Issue still in it

sounds like it could be a cooling issue... hot in your house? might invest in more fans?

or you could get a couple of these babys and strap them on somehow hehehe

Sounds like a heat crash to me. You said it went away after you put a fan over the motherboard?

No It fails the test ,I just place and Industrial Fan (made of metal blades)In a few words It blows enough to move you if you stand in front of it, and still crash it It can't be overheating

You must be consuming most of Venezuela's electricity supply with that set-up, and robbing the poor of their heating and cooking facilities... :'(....!

Whatever you do, don't let the Fire Brigade spot it, or they will evacuate your Street... :o....!!

I'm reading this forum since some time.

Have fun!

edit:
One of my favorites is the Goose. There is a mod - i prefer variant 1 - which makes the handling in water more realistic. Can't remenber where to DL so here is a copy:

[font=Courier]Variant 2 puts the plane a little deeper into the water, thus minimizing the tilting.
This makes maneuvering in the water smoother but might be less realistic.

As the configuration file is localized in each language variant
and as you may have altered it already when installing new paint schemes for the plane,
I'm only including instructions instead of a complete file.

To change the contact points, you have to do the following:

1. Go to the folder you installed FSX to and find the file:

..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Grumman_Goose_G21A\aircraft.cfg

2. Make a backup of this file, so you can revert your changes any time.

3. In the aircraft.cfg, find the section named [contact_points], there you should find these lines:

;/FLOATS
point.3=4,

Maybe your video card is artifacting (that happened to me once.)
Well, what else can I say other than I am an aspiring airline captain.  When I'm not doing schoolwork, I enjoy flying my Level-D 767-300/ER!

The current version of FSUIPC is 4.11 - for SP1 setups.

But now that you mention it - I have been experiencing the OOM issue lately...maybe caused by FSUIPC?
