Right now i have my target at 20 FPSand it is running smoothly, maintaining 20 wihtout issue. Should I increase the target FPS? Or should I increase my graphics settings to get better scenery, etc?

What is "target FPS" and what is the point of decreasing/increasing it? How do you do it?

i would try to increase it to 25 and see what you get, if not 20 is good for fsx

Its a setting that you can use to tell the game how many FPS you want it to shoot for.

Over anything but a very dense city I can maintain 30-40 FPS but I keep it locked at 20 FPS. The game runs smooth with no stutters or blurries so I see no need to shoot for a higher FPS

But Bowler Man, if you adjust something up, then something else may need to be adjusted as well. That's the horror we all face. So try the increase Bok, but if it stutters or blurs go back or tweak.

A target FPS between 17 and 20 is totally okay.
Setting it higher is totally pointless and a waste of computing power.
It's MSFS after all...and not Quake.
