I have not heard of any issues like this but I have never been a componet of self installing aircraft. If any of these aircraft were for FS9 than there might be a problem as the patch that was made to make it work for FSX did not take in account the patch for FSX and now will have problems. If these aircraft are payware than contact the place you bought them from to see if they have herd of issues like you describe. As for the others I am not quite sure what to say. There might be a problem due to the patch.

I'm working on an FSX C177RG...

I'm trying to make it 100% FSX compatible... Which means made in Gmax via the SDK, to the letter !

From all the experimenting I've done, I've found that you CANNOT leave something to chance. FS9 planes "updated" for FSX seem to cause lots of problems.. Especially since SP1. They may not manifest themselves right off, but they will.. and probably be compounded as you add more planes that are not 100% FSX ready. The animations are different.. the gauges are different, the models are different, the VCs are different, the texturing is different...

I advise that you limit your FSX hangar to FSX planes only ( NOT planes advertised as FS2004/FSX ). As additional patches come out (no doubt trying to refine some of the new potential), these "modified for FSX" planes will cause  more and more problems..

I've been doing this for a few years now, and I've seen some pretty bizarre stuff   ::)
