Communication during Mission Games

Postby Bubblehead » Tue May 22, 2007 11:17 pm

When I played a couple of Mission Games (Intermmediate and Advanced), there were two occasions when I though my "co-pilot" who was suppose to handle communication was drunk. For example:

Case whereby I was flying a commercial jet and I was getting close to the airport but failed to get orders from the co-pilot. So I decided to drop down to 3K feet and slowed down for the approach. Well my co-pilot said that I was too low and to get back up to 11K feet. Pressed Escape.

Case whereby I was going to taxi from the airport and the stupid co-pilot did not say anything the whole time although the briefing said he was suppose to handle communication.

Case where by I was flying at a certian ordered heading and all of a sudden I saw the course marker (top right icon) shift way to the left. The co-pilot said nothing so I did nothing. Then all of a sudden he jumps on me for being two way out of my heading.

Is the communication feature of the Missions consistently reliable, or this is an FSX problem.

Probably just a missed trigger.

i dont think those are missed triggers, because come on, taxiing?  how the hell does FS miss triggers, u cant really do much else on the ground...

anyway, wat FPS do u get with FSX?  just curious, because if ur really pushing for graphics, then maybe FS just isnt reacting properly to triggers...

im probably wrong, but i know computer software very well, and ive come across some pretty strange things myself...

heres a case (hardware/software mix):  my dad's PC everynow and then would idle at 100% all the time.  he emails some tech guys, and they reply saying wat r ur specs...  from then on, the 100% problem vanished and hasnt occurred since.  freaky...

I got a fairly good rig so I got most of my settings not maxxed but on the high end. I have my FPS set at around 75% and I'm not experiencing any problems. You think my FPS setting is too high? My video is an EVGA Nvidia 7950 GT 512MB.

One thing I found out that the Mission game "Carribean Landing" is different from the FSX Standard. FSX DeLuxe did not have any voice communication and used a different texture CRJ 700 (white) as compared to the fFSX Standard which used the default Orbit Airline texture.

Do you know of any Mission Add-ons? Did'nt see any in the Download List.
