I think it's a little too early to come up with tweaks since not everyone has SP1 installed. It will be a couple more weeks of experimenting until we find a solid formula.

Consider SP1 to be a 'tweak' in itself.

And the thread FSX-SP1 Released now contains a lot of info about SP1.  It's worth reading.

Well... do you really think you need more than 12 FPS? I mean, it's a simulator, not Counter-Strike....  :P

I have scenery complexity (Maxed)
autogen density (very dense) The rest are set at default.
Thanks for the tip, it seems a little better.

Make sure your card is in "Best Quality" or at least "Quality" mode.
If it is set to "Performance" or "Best Performance", some functionnalities like AF gets disabled, or works very bad, to save ressources.

Try keeping it on Application controlled in the drivers and having it on Anisotropic in the sim. If that causes you problems then turn the ingame setting to Trilinear and then MAX out the Anisotropic filtering in the drivers.

Then go into the NVidia control Panel, advanced 3D settings, and make sure the settings about "optimisations" (there are 2 or three of them, they appear only when you choose the "advanced settings" box) are DISABLED ! If they are enabled, the visual quality is reduced as well to save performance, just like when choosing "Performance" mode.
