Saving the logbook

Does anyone know if there is a way to save my logbook and rewards and everything if I want to do a complete reinstall?

Go to My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files: You should find a file labeled Logbook. Copy and paste it somewhere for safe keeping.

As far as I know...the method works on my system anyway. Once you have it saved safely somewhere, you can always copy and past it back into the FSX files when/if needed.

Thanks, it worked, although it didn't save my mission rewards or certificates, but it saved all my logbook values and the awards associated with that, so it's all good with me.

You copy the stuff from the rewards folder to the new one.  Plus, the GrantedRewards Bin file and the GrantedRewardsOld Bin file from the same location as your fsx.cfg as below

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX

That then gives you everything that you had before......
