I think as long as you keep the original till receipt with the game (I always keep the receipts in the cd box) then you can request a new activation code.

I can't see how they can't give you a new one as long as you prove you bought the game.

I believe FS-X actvation is much like XP.

You can activate as many times as you wish.
However, just like XP, after a few times of activating over the net, you will have to call the 800 number and jump through a few hoops  before they will acvtivate it again.

You will be fine

There is no limit to the number of times you can install and activate it. You just can not activate it more than one copy at a time. (Actually, that may be 2 copies on 2 different machines is the limit)

In other words, it keeps someone from installing the software on 10 machines and activating them all at once.

If you exceed the web activation limit you just have to call the team for the activation code. Microsoft has spared no expense to ensure you have all the support you need, when you need it.

The team is standing by all over the world, pedaling away keeping their batteries charged, waiting to serve you...
