Annoying "don't sink" and "too low, flaps"

I've recently downloaded a couple of helicopters from the download page here.  One is FSX Hughes OH-6A Loach U.S. Army, E Troop, 1st Cav  Package and the other is the Blackhawk on the same page.
I really like these aircraft and enjoy flying them.  The problem is the in-cockpit voice that gives the warnings mentioned in the subject line.

Is there anyway to turn off the verbal warnings without muting all of the other sounds?

Thanks in advance for any help.

What I ended up doing was to rename all the files in the FSX/Sound folder that began with GPWS. For example I renamed GPWS_Dont_Sink.wav to GPWS_Dont_Sink.wav.orig. That way you keep the original files intact in case you want them in the future. Once you rename the files they will no longer be available in any aircraft - so it's a trade off of sorts.

You can assign a key to toggle the GPWS On/Off from FSX/Settings/Controls.

But remember that these warnings exist in the real world.   The best way to get rid of these warnings is to fly accurate approaches with flaps and gear coming down on schedule.  To me that is the challenge of simming, not working out how to eliminate the warnings.  No heavy jet pilot in the real world would be allowed to shorcircuit these warnings, they are designed to alert the pilots, and to then have them make the plane safe and land in the correct configuration.  I hate the warnings too, but I treat them as an indication to me that I should lift my game.

Just to point out that the original question was about helicopters, not heavy jets.

Put this in the helicopters aircraft.cfg only (down at the bottom of the .cfg), then it isolates just those models and not the airliners.....

[GPWS]
max_warning_height         =  0
sink_rate_fpm              = -9999
excessive_sink_rate_fpm    = -9999
climbout_sink_rate_fpm     = -9999
flap_and_gear_sink_rate_fpm= -9999

Reider

thanks to all for your help

I'll try the toggle thing posted by Hagar first.
then, if I'm feeling adventurous, I'll try the helicopter config thing from reider.

Oh yes, and macca22au, I was originally asking about some downloaded choppers.  But with reider's fix, i can keep the warnings in the jets and lose them in the choppers.

Having my cake and eating it too!!

Thanks again every body.
