so i was flying to buffalo from denver when the tower says that a learjet is 1 mile at 1 o clock so i was in virtual cockpit i lock the the left it flys straight at me as i disingaged the autopiolot boom nails me right in the cockpit so i had to restrat the flight i was bummed  :o  :'(

that is why i dont consider other planes in FS, "AI".

if they dont know if they're gonna die (which they don't actually), then they are not in any way, intelligent.

That would piss the hell out of me.  

that would annoy me alot too.

but id either immediately pull up and dodge it, but if i was too close, then id press 'P'.  then go to realism settings, and turn off crashing.  once the danger has passed, id turn on crashing again. ::)

if i were able to fire bullets and turn around and pursue the crazy suicidal plane and blow him out of the SKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but, i cant do that. :-/

What FL were you at?  Default AI?

Well I talked to the FSX FAA and they have determined it was mainly the controllers fault. He should have given you a 4 mile warning and adjusted your altitude before clearing you for takeoff. However the pilot in command should have reviewed flight level altitude assignments and submitted the correct alt with his flightplan. The following diagram was also included in the report.

That's why TCAS was invented. ;P

If im not mistaken, you said the ATC said it was at 1 o'clock, but you said you looked left, which would be 11 o'clock  :o

i ya my bad sorry i looked to the right and i think i was at fL of 32000

Regardless from the version of the sim, other planes in FS are AI. 8-)
