Airbus A321, autopilot?

I'm having trouble working out how the A321 Autopilot works.

I set my heading on the AP Panel, Hit the master switch and nothing happens. Same with Altitued and speed...nothing happens.

Anyone shed any light?

What does the FMA say?
The Airbus AP logic is based on "push and pull" commands.
HDG button PUSH = Managed NAV mode according to FMGC flightplan
HDG button PULL = Heading select according to FCU input (autopilot panel)

So I guess you havent PULLED the heading button.
Speed and Altitude works the same way  :)
