Is there a standard way to install 3rd party scenery in FSX??  I have downloaded a couple of files but I don't know how to make them appear in the game! PLEASE HELP!

Yeah.

Unzip the scenery to a folder of your choice and add it to FSX's scenery library.

So much for the general way of adding scenery.

In your case, I would try to read the Readme which came along with the scenery download for specific instructions.

You want to make sure you read any instructions that came with the scenery. If you do not you could have problems. Some scenry you might have to add exclude and flatten statements in the scenry cfg file but than that was for FS2004 I am not even sure if FSX uses flatten or Exclude lines. 8-)
