A couple of more weeks is no big deal IMO.
At least we are getting a SP. :)

2nd week in may was on the cards last week anyway.  The first full week of May isn`t until after the 4th and the beta1 was over a week delayed going out to the beta testers.  They originally tried for the end of april, but the delay added another week to 2 weeks so I didn`t expect it til then.  So this is just as it was last week, so far.

20-30% better is based on the user having the right hardware the software was intended for.

To place a frame rate increase hope on SP1, epecially a number like 10 or higher, is completely unrealistic

If you are currently running a frame lock of 18, 20% better is 22 and that assumes the user does not assume they can jack up the scenery and autogen and get a 20-30% frame increase too

I think the thought of:

May is now right around the corner, so it's time to start saving up. On top of that, my credit line has increased enough to make an nice upgrade several months from now after SP1 and Vista is well-established. ;D

I know someone who claims a 60% improvement in frames (and of course less stutters) with SP1. I hope this is true..... but doubt it....

I know someone who claims Elvis is still alive, but we just smile and let them believe it!
