737-800 Delta

737-800 Delta Texture files Aircraft:  Texture Files Only for the 737-800 FSX

Good idea to back up any original files.

1.Unzip downloaded folders to a Temp directory on your system.

2.Copy Texture.HapL into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737_800

Add this entry into your 737-800 Aircraft.cfg file
Paste it in sequence right after the last [fltsim.x]. Rename "fltsim.X" to next number in sequence ie: fltsim.8 etc

However, it wasn't always that way\s in the first few years of production, there were so few orders that Boeing considered canceling the program. They didn't, and the airplane has more than proven itself in over three decades of service."

Thank You for flying with Delta Airlines :)

Note: These textures are not for reuse. Please make your own. They are only for the intended Plane i made them for.

1) Open up your 737-400 folder. Look for a file called Aircraft.cfg. Make a copy of it and put it in a safe place.

2) Right click on the Aircraft.cfg, you will have a dialogue box asking what to open it with. Choose Notepad. Now, anytime you open up a similar file, it should associate it to the same application, meaning next time you want to open it, simply double-click on the file and it'll open in Notepad.

3) The very first items you should see are the various configurations/textures applied to the same aircraft model. The text is similar to what you posted here; simply copy & paste the red text:

[fltsim.x]
title=Boeing 737-800 Delta
sim=Boeing737-800

panel=

texture=Delt
kb_checklists=Boeing737-800_check

atc_id=N3771K
atc_airline=Delta
atc_flight_number=
ui_manufacturer="Boeing"
ui_type="737-800"
ui_variation="Delta Airlines"
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"

Where [fltsim.x] represents the next available number; e.g., if 4 737-400 repaints are already listed, rename this one as [fltsim.5].

4) Still within your 737-400 folder, create a new folder and rename it Delt (check the texture=Delt entry in the text above, this associates the textures to what is contained within the same-named folder).  Copy & paste your new textures in there.

**-->Didn't see the other post, contains much of the same info, hopefully you got everything up & running.

Lets get the crucial part sorted first.  You cannot place a 737-400 in a 737-800 folder and expect it to work, no matter what you do to the aircraft.cfg.  You need the 400 in a folder with the base model 737-400 not the 800 version.  If you don`t have it then you need to locate one.  I have one I got from somewhere, so its available on the internet from the usual sources.....  Avsim, Wizzsim, Simviation or whatever.  You cannot put a square shape into a round hole and expect to get a triangle as a result!  Roughly translated, it wasn`t made to go in that configuration, unless it was a typo!

If they are both 800s then proceed as above and amend the x to the number after the last one in your aircraft.cfg So if your last one is 6, then x=7 this time.  Make sure you have the texture folder in the 800 folder, or 400 if its that one.

Path to aircraft.cfg.......C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes then its inside whatever aircraft folder you pick, such as the B837-800, this is also where you paste the new texture folder to be added on.

In the FSX B737_800 folder, you will find an Icon titled "aircraft"...that is the aircraft.cfg file. RIGHT click on that Icon and go to "Open With". Open the file with NOTEPAD.
Hope all is well in your world today
