This might help, my fsui is already installed, not sure what version, just check the file name. This is where it keeps the info in the fsx.cfg
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\FSUIPC4.dll.nlettnkceranbiotqeuclkkiwhrceltoaicrqwir=1
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\KingAir.DLL.cwtwqzlqlonutanreluuuutbaiihlreaubhcului=2
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\Cessna172.DLL.unhnubibikuakobhoeukechanbtzhbnhcqqcchri=2
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\KingAir_Radio.DLL.iqroihbnwwoeibrcwukzowkllaieiltwtencnkkc=2
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\Magnetic_Compass.DLL.awqtcqnwcwcucrniztwlbhwqllhnrwzzeubbcqtl=2
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\737-400.DLL.aozkriwqrwneirtoiebetcwrhuhkwthrnabzuhiq=2
The FSUI part in my fsx.cfg is the first C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X entry. I guess the number 1 switch at the end says its running and cleared. Because if I copy the fsx.cfg somewhere else and delete the original, next time I start FSX it recreates the fsx.cfg and asks me if its ok to install FSUI and accept it.
