Does anyone know if there are aircraft carriers in FSX? and.. has anyone used World of AI?? does it work? does it really add more traffic to the game?   Thanks!

There are Aircraft Carriers, but they are not like airports. You can't land on them, because there are no arrestor cables. :)

Rob Barendregt has updated his carrier launch and arrestor cable package for FSX, i havent tried it for FSX yet but it worked perfectley in FS9 ;) Just read the readme carefuly and make sure you have a compatible plane. Steve Hinsons new FSX F-14 update will definetley work with it out of the box but other planes will need some gauge adding in the CFGs. All of this is explained in the readmes with the gauge pack.
I dont know if the gauges are availeble here but you can get it at  :-X A*s*m :-X  ;D

There is are packages available for download that will add several MOVING carriers in various locations
around the world and add the arrestor/catapult functions to aircraft so that you can land on these carriers.

Search the "usual" libraries for "aicarriers1.zip" and "rcbco-30.zip". The included readme files will tell you
all you need to know to install these addons to your FSX environment.

THis page has details on two carriers in FSX default scenery.  Since there are not arrestor cable, I wouldnt try anything bigger than a 172, and even that may be too big.

I just downloaded World of AI today and it is great, the installer is great and it adds a lot of ai to most airports. But the bad thing is that ATC cant keep up with 100% Traffic and they all collide on final. Overall its great though.

I would get it if traffi is what you want!

Actually, you CAN land on them; However, I can imagine the landing to be pretty tedious when you're landing a piper cub on a carrier that makes a sudden right turn. ;D
