I can't really help you here, but I have had some issues with the logbook as well.  The other night I did a two leg flight.  First one went well.  The second one, first I crashed (see the other thread) after accidently engaging auto pilot.  Then, trying to land on a small little landing strip (VA43), I missed several times and finally just tried to put the plane on the strip even if it meant putting it in a nosedive.  Needless to say, I missed.  In the logbook, It didnt show a landing in the main screen, just a takeoff, but when I clicked details, it showed one landing at the first airport I landed and then one where I crashed.  I removed that landing.

The FSX logbook is very prone to corruption. If you delete any entry that is
not the very LAST entry there is a very good chance the logbook.bin file
will be corrupted. If that entry had a comment attched, such as "Aircraft
crashed at end of flight", you will get a corrupted logbook 100% of the time.

There are a couple of utilities available to help deal with FSX logbook issues.
One will be helpful to fix a corrupted logbook. The other will allow you to
edit the logbook without corrupting it, since M$ didn'tt seem to be able to
accomplish this simple feat....just do a search on "FSX logbook corrupt" or
similar words.

In the worst case, FSX will freeze on the splash screen while loading. When that
happens you need to either repair the logbook, delete it, or rename it and FSX
will create a new, empty logbook.
