Primary flash displays reflection
Secondary flash does not....
The other thing that bothers me about the lights is that MS did not provide for light bounce of white/yellow/blue strobes. Not only should the flash be detected on the aircraft it should also illuminate clouds when viewed at the right angle and distance.
