You know you are simming too much when...

Or why flight simming can be dangerous to your health.

No, I'm not starting another one of those threads. The other night I tried out the Airbus. I was at 25,000 ft and suddenly heard an alarm. Nothing on the master caution panel. Flaps were up and gear was up. I pulled up all the panels and nothing was wrong anywhere. I couldn't figure why it was beeping. I tabbed out of FSX and realized it was the smoke alarm. Our stove blew a circuit breaker and the exhaust fan was off. Luckily the stove is designed to go out almost immediately when power is lost but it did release enough smoke to set off the smoke detector. New smoke detector in place with a more distinctive alarm.  ;D

Hahaha...It's funny when you hear an alarm and you think it's your plane first before you think "Oh $#!t, it's my oven!"

I've had a similar experience in real life.  I was buzzing along in our Cessna when I started hearing this recurring beeping noise.  I'm checking all the gauges, everything looks good, then I realize I had forgot to turn off my cell phone and it was ringing.
