question jetways. Please help

Postby Recency » Sat Mar 17, 2007 7:07 am

Hello to all:
Does anyone know where the moving jetways are located inside the aircraft.cfgs'.  In other words, I have added planes and want to create a moving jetway for those planes.    I have briefly looked inside the aircarft.cfgs and the panel.cfgs but I can not seem to find the file or files or prameters.  I know the default planes have the moving jetways and I know how to make them move. I just do not know where that file is located that makes them move. Any help Thank you.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the Jetways work with a plane only if the "exits" are correctly defined, in a FSX manner.
So you should look for the definitions of the exits in the aircraft.cfg of your planes (something like exit.1, exit.2 etc... I don't remember exactely)

Thanks for your response.  However, the exits do not seem to be the right files. Still looking. Does anyone else know what files are the correct ones.

Look at the "Exits" section of the defaukt A321 or B737-800,

You will see three additional parameters jn each exit statement line
that are not in FS9 aircraft.cfg files, or the AI aircraft for that matter.

The jetways need to "know" where the exits are located in order to
dock with the aircaft.

Thanks Paul for the advice. Nonetheless, I have inserted those exit files into one of my planes aircraft.cfg but to no avail that did not work.  However, I do belive that those exit files has something to do with the jetway docking but there must be some other file that you need along with the exit files.  I am guessing it may have to do something with the stop line or marks on the ground beside the jetways.

The jetways are controlled by the exits as quoted. The plane must be parked correctly at the gate also. The advanced animations must be turned on & you must have a certain amount of scenery density turned on. Also noted that if you are using an FS9 AFCAD Airport file in FSX the jetways won't work.

:)Finally!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, you guys were right. My exits were not well defined, but they are now, so the jetways will move to the planes that I have added. And also thanks for the tips that will make the trucks move to the plane.
