Wow....well... I'll have to take my comp to the dump ;D.... This news mean that it would be better to buy a comp in January 2008 for full FSX experience?...

I heard it -might- be fall before it was released. Originally they were shooting for summer however there have been some issues with DX10 and VISTA driver support which have come to the surface in the last several weeks. I have not had much contact with the loop in the last several months so the announcement is also news to me.

I think they are making the right decision. The last time they pushed for a release... well, SP1 is the result of that   ;D

DX10 hardware and supporting motherboard technology will be defined over the next 4-6 months so the decision to put the time into development is a good one   [smiley=thumbup.gif]:)

Here is another article from FlightSim.com. If you read the last paragraph, you'll notice that it talks about new developments tools that will be added. This sounds like a big plus.

Hopefully they offer a download version of fsX: Adrenaline, because I am NOT going to pay ripoff prices for games anymore (In Australia fsX was $120AUD or $93USD).

You Aussies need a Walmart really bad. I saw it there yesterday for just a few centavos under $70 for the Deluxe Edition.

You people should rally a protest against your local stores. They're ripping you off badly. :o

I've read other posts like this lately. I find it very interesting for one reason.
I'm in south central florida, and have yet to see the deluxe version for more than $52 us.  Even the local Wallmarts have it that cheap.  Looks to me like some retailers are jacking the price in some stores, keeping it low in others.
Look around very carefully before paying that $70, that's all I can say for that.

A SP1 release in April? Sounds interesting.

But I won't go for the expansion, unless it contains something mindblowing. New missions, an air-racing mode and a P-51 aren't worth my money.

I`m glad I`m not alone there with thoughts toward the expansion, saw a similar one with 5 planes in the other day.  Just not worth shelling out the money.  Now the SP1 is really welcome, supposed to be mid - end of April by all accounts, the beta testers get it next week-then we might get more details regarding the anticipated speed increase, 20% was the initial figure but it may go higher.  Sounding good all round.
