Hey guys, I have downloaded the F/A-18 superhornet of this website (one of them). It is the one where you go to FSX military and there is an F/A-18, and it says "click here" to get the original from FS2004. Anyway, I've got that and I've got the update which is on the FSX page and when I select the plane it's all fine, but as soon as I press "Fly Now" in the game it comes up with an error and the game shuts down. Can someone please help me, and tell me what's wrong?
Cheers

Wish I could help you out, but I'm stumped. The fact that it shows up in the aircraft selection screen would indicate that you have the files istalled where they need to be. Gotta be something else with the settings perhaps. My uneducated guess would be to make sure you have the aircraft.cfg file updated to the FSX "update". Lot more savvy guys might have a better suggestion. Hope you get her in the air eventually. Just don't let it frustrate you into giving up.

*bump*
It says "memory can not be read" I don't have much RAM, does it just mean there is not enough RAM??? And to use the HD takes way to long to recall???
Cheers

The last few times this exact same thing has happened to me, I looked in the aircraft.cfg and fine tuned the section for that plane. Sometimes the SIM: name has to be changed slightly. Before anyone says it can`t be that, in every case its worked for me and stopped the so called memory error. It might have underscores in the name but not the first word or something daft like that, these things happen when changing from one flight sim to another. Its always been the silly things like that which stopped it here, and I`ve installed loads on mine. I deleted lots more too, lol.
EDIT: Discount that in this instance, just downloaded and installed it clean n green. Its quite an impressive package, works fast and well. This could be a memory problem in this instance. I`m using 2 gig of DDR2 on a 160 gig SATA Drive also, and a geforce 7600 GT Video Card. Its really fluid at this end.

Hey guys, Yeah I thought it was the RAM, I only have 512MB, however on pay day I am hoping to have 4GB. I am drastically upgrading my computer.
