2: runway in sight?   Ah, we'll maybe.  At my 12:00 2 miles to go at 2000ft.  Then what.  When I land I don't get any confirmation I passed. ?  A newbie all over again.  

Did you taxi off the runway? Some missions you have to taxi to the gate/ramp in order to complete the mission(s).

try pushing the "U" key to get the mission compass and pointer to come up, they might show you where you are supposed to go.

I think you have to actually taxi right up to the pier - if we are thinking of the same mission you should be in the beaver and it should have been a water landing, not a runway landing.
