I bought FS10...

I bought FS10...

Postby rootbeer » Thu Feb 15, 2007 10:00 pm

It's the Deluxe Edition. Priced at $70; I got it at at least 10% off with my Reward Zone chits. Should I install it? See specs below...

I also bought something from shockwave productions, inc. called Aircraft Powerpack. It's a bunch (26, to be exact) of airplanes for FS10 and CFS3. Should I install that, too? Both items are still in the shrinkwrapping...

You could install it, not sure how it will run tho..  Also I have the aircraft powerpack, its nice but it doesn't give you 26 planes unless you install it both on FSX and CFS3, witch kinda sucks,  but they are quality aircraft  ;D

Thanks for the hit, BAW. The FS10 box reads that I need a minimum of a DirectX9.0c card with 32Mb of RAM to run it. I am ordering an eVGA 7600GT card in the coming days. Will that do it?

I saw Vista in Office Depot tonight for $199 and $239 for the Home Basic and Home Premium options, respectively. Which one is best to use with FS10?

Ouch, Not that it does you much good now, but you can get the deluxe for $50 without a discount, or at least I was able to.

I would think Best Buy has a price-match policy. I can still check it out, albeit I must wait until next Thursday when I am again off from work. It's a 75-mile round trip into Reno from N58, but I usually go "into town" on at least one of my days off. Thanks for the suggestion.

Please, someone supply the name of a DX10 card that will give me an eye-popping FS10 experience...
