I think you have to set the water details at "2x" at least, else you would get only some small, non-reflective waves.

Really ?
Then maybe your video card is too old, and does not support this visual feature (pixel shaders or something like that).
What video card do you have ?

wow.

i hav a feeling u mean 3d waves, swells, that sort of thing?

the only waves in FSX are the wavy looking water reflections, and those flat things ull see going in and out near coastlines.

but in case u dont mean that, then just set water to max, see wat happens...

With such a monster, you should get just anything you want. I think simply you forgot to update your video drivers.

quite simply, ur case is mindblowing...

one question tho, hav u downloaded, or changed anything in ur fsx cfg file?  cuz alot of stuff can happen in der that'll make thinks go funky.

if it aint that, then i guess ur stuck waiting for the DX10 patch...

oops, forgot again, do u hav the SP1 for FSX?

no i only got the regular fsx not the deluxe version but that shouldnt matter. I don tknow why i cant see waves smashing the surfs near the beach. All the water affects i see are there but they dont animate. There is no waves at the beaches either.

This is our system specs:
