Turning off cockpit reflections

Is it possible to turn off cockpit reflections in the 3D view and if so, how?

I did read a few posts about this already and all say it's possible in the advanced display options but i don't have that..?

Somewhere in the ocean of FS-related sites, I've seen a mod which changes the textures containing cockpit reflections and thus getting rid of them.

But don't ask me where.

If you are talking about the reflection on the interior glass, then there is a texture in the aircraft

if u can edit dds, try opening the x_relection.dds or watever the file is (it has four sections with up-side-down images of the cockpit), set the alpha map to all black.  that should work.  another easier way might be to delete it, but i dont recommend that.

Go to Avsim. Search the library for:

fsx_aircraft_reflection_files.zip

That will do what you want.
