Adding Medium & Large Gates
Posted: Tue Jan 23, 2007 5:23 pmHi guys, is there any way to correct the lack of medium & large gates to NZCH in FSX. This is very frustrating as they have been left out by MS meaning I get no planes larger than a 737.

Posted: Tue Jan 23, 2007 7:36 pmI've had good luck by opening the FS9 airport in AFCAD2 and adding the parking then saving it to FSX:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery
Here's a screenshot-to-prove it:
Does your FSX KRWL have Small Gate parking? mine does after editing the FS9 in AF2.
I've also edited FSX AF2 files then pasted them into
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery
Works for me.

Posted: Wed Jan 24, 2007 9:28 amThere's a File here on this site named "FS92FSX.zip" or similar, which can convert FS9's AFCADs to FSX format.

Posted: Thu Jan 25, 2007 3:28 pmHey thanks for the advice guys. I tried to reinstall FS9 but it ended up on top of the FSX install & I had to take it all off & reinstall FSX from scratch. So I am now without FS9. Is anyone able to make an AFCAD for NZCH with a couple of parking spaces away from the terminal into medium & large for me & if you are keen Gate 32 as a large one too and email me or upload it somewhere to help me out. Would be much appreciated.
