I downloaded a few aircrat off the IRIS website, from their freeware section. I installed them into FSX. When i run them though, I get a bunch of guage errors saying the guages were made for FS '98 or earlier, but these are fresh FS2004 panels with FS2004 guages. How do I get these guages to work?

I have the same problem. What I did: Delete the gauge cabinet that comes with it. It deletes the gauges but hey! No more notice...

Those gauges, usable in fs2004, are no longer usable in FSX. What I have done is just simply downloaded a generic fight panel from this site and replaced the other panel. I have made a new folder called ACpanels and put panels I have downloaded in to it and just aliased the planes panel.cfg to the panel I needed

Fsx will not read fs98 gauges, and some from fs2002 and fs2004 will be incorrect. If you delete them, surely you'll miss something. Try and replace them with similar gauges from fsx. Maybe they'll look odd. That has to do with the panel.cfg gauge size.

If you've got the patience and time, you can also try to replace the gauges with compatible ones one by one.

I think I'll just delete the guages (They only apply to specific aircraft) and just fly blind, until someone updates the panel for the IRIS planes for FSX (which am sure someone will do)
