AI Help for Myself

Well hate to ask, but I can't find the answer myself on installing AI.  I checked the FSX Faqs at the top, but it has to do with fs9, and expects me to know what I'm doing  :-X   I checked PAI's website for the 'complete PAI' package, but it only contains a bunch of pictures, or something, and the airlines page has like 50 different airlines.

So I'm asking for help on where to get AI planes, and how to get them into FSX, thats it.   Easier said than done, I know, but any help is appreciated  :)

It's quite beyond me why anyone would want to add MORE AI to FSX. With my limited computer resources I can't even run the traffic that shipped with FSX at 100%

Having said that, FSX traffic (seems) to work the same as FS9: any traffic_bgl.bgl file placed in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery folder will work PROVIDED: The aircraft.txt text file was created using FSX planes. The airports.txt and the flightplans.txt stay fundamentally the same.

It goes without saying, that any AI Installer made for FS9 will (probably) not work in FSX but this does not preclude said packages from being edited by hand and then installed into FSX. I know the traffic_files.bgl I created using TTools 202 work just fine in FSX.

Thanks wji, though I was a bit unclear.  I meant just to get rid of all default AI (unreal) and just replace them with some realworld paint schemes (interesting).  I was just unsure of what to look for and where, but I think I may have it down, I'll try it in a bit  :)

Indeed, PAI is about adding realistic AI traffic, not about adding traffic altogether.  ;)

You can't have enough AI.

I'm running Adobe's Traffic Pack, some WOAI packages, some custom traffic, all Ultimate GA packages and a bunch of GA planes...

...and I still find it not enough. :D

"With my limited computer resources I can't even run the traffic that shipped with FSX at 100%"
Was this part of my post overlooked or is it simply 'selective editing?'
Hey, if one has the resources -- fill your boots.
I'd love to run FSX like my FS9 Ultimate Traffic setting: every airline in the world at 100%
So -- like I was saying -- With my limited computer resources I can't even run the traffic that shipped with FSX at 100%

Having said that, -- and as already stated -- I have figured out how to edit and add FSX traffic_bgl files to FSX so have some of my own FSX interesting repaints at my FSX airports.

Sounds to me like those AI packages named here are only available for FS9; last time i looked this is the FSX forum. Ultimate Traffic is not yet FSX ready.

No, just the "I wanna add something myself even if it doesn't fit into the context" urge from my side.

a) WOAI is FS9 and FSX ready.
b) Every Traffic add-on runs in FSX, so the version does not matter.
c) This thread is about traffic in FSX, so I'll add something constructive now:

www.projectai.com
www.world-of-ai.com

And if you know how and where to look you can even get your hands on the Adobe Traffic Pack, which is quite like Ultimate Traffic, only better and for free.
