Well thankyou for the advice, although its not really the advice I want to here. There are so many nicely made panels that have FS98 Gauges such as the F16 Tomcat panel. I guess I can make my own panels and insert the fsx gauges and try to make it through the time consuming process thats involved. However I am hoping that someone else may know the solution to the gauge compatibility problem.
Recency, I SHARE YOUR FRUSTRATION.
I did get some tips on this, but right now my only success was placing the old .gau files with the panel (in panel folder, not all worked)

ThankYou for the advice. I will try that. Someone has indicated that there is no solution but I still think that there is. If some of the FS98 Gauges work or are compatible in FS2004 then they should work in FSX. I think it may be just a matter of changing the dates on the gauges but don't know how to do that as of yet.
