Someone here posted this a while back.

but i thought it might be a good idea to put it in the important topics area because...

...A LOT OF PEOPLE POST ASKING HOW WELL THEIR SYSTEM WILL RUN FSX

here is a way to find out...

1) go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

2) in the pull down menu select "Microsoft Flight Simulator X PC"

3) Click "Can You Run It"

4) when prompted to run the system tester click "Run"

5) you will see a loading bar, when it is completed a new page will open and it will show you a
"scale" of how well equipped your machine is to run FSX

this scale will show you where your machine falls into meeting the system req's

mine said that i should have a wonderful experience running this product too... but thats just the thing, I HAVE had a wonderful experience. running almost everything on ultra high with 17 - 20 FPS is NOT bad. the sim hasnt even crashed yet!

Windows XP barely passes on my tests as well. but lets not forget that FSX supposedly runs at peak efficiency when operated with Windows Vista and DirectX 10 which should arrive on shelves on the 31st of January.

for those of you who do not own DirectX 10 compatible video cards this will do you NO good of course. but for those that do i think that Vista and DirectX 10 will increase the performance a bit.

IMHO
