Widescreen Users...
Posted: Wed Jan 10, 2007 1:21 pmI just received a new widescreen monitor and the first thing I noticed is the zoom and distance view changed. The perspective looked good but I had to zoom back to 50% on almost all views to the visuals the same as my regular monitor.
I asked one of the experts who was a member here about it. He said to change the following under the [DISPLAY] heading:
WideViewAspect=False
to
WideViewAspect=True
He said FSX does not sense a widescreen monitor and do it automatically. That edit only works for widescreen monitors.
It made a big difference!
Setting the zoom to 80% on all views seems to be the best and with the widescreen support the distance has become even more defined.
