I've deduced that I don't seem to have the default Cessna C182, so hence the aliasing to that sound file
doesn't work.
I have the FSX Deluxe version.
Can you tell me please, how/where can I get hold of that elusive Cessna C182 default aircraft; with it's original soundfile!!???.
So far I've downloaded three C182 versions & they all point to this elusive 'missing' default C182!.
And for the sound aliasing problem because of the missing Cessna 182, why don't you change the alias to make it point to the FSX default 172 instead ?
Welcome to 2007 Hagar!.
I have these two Stearman:-
FS2004 Vintage page 73 = Navy N2S-1 Stearman Kaydet
FS2000 Vintage page 7 = FS2000 Stearman PT-13
....There's also two others (at least):-
FS2000 Vintage page 28 = FS2002 Stearman Dingo IV
FS2004 Vintage page 8 = Stearman Kaydet Mexican Air Force
On the 'other' Stearman I tried changing the alias to a FSX Cessna C208B, but either I got it wrong, or for some reason other than the alias, the sound doesn't work (on the Stearman in FSX).
I copy/saved the original sound text file, renamed the original "Old...", & edited new one to point to the FSX C208B, & named the text file as the origional. But that didn't work. Probably me getting the path wrong..
I'll download the C182, for which I say a great big thank you!! for the link! :)
Yes I'll be careful with the install, & make sure I follow your instructions.
Hi,
I have the package downloaded & 'unpacked' into a temp folder, but am hesitant to
continue until I have some more advice please.
Not having yet found a 'code of conduct' for the forums, I apologise in advance for possibly being naughty.
Here's a screengrab of the unpacked stuff.
I know where to put the aircraft one.
But not sure about the rest.
And the gauge zip file, where to?
