When I first bought FSX I was excited because it had the maule m7, which I never expected it to have, and I have always wanted one ;). the problem is, I didn't buy the deluxe edition and the worst part is if you don't have the deluxe edition, the Maule M7 and the Grumman Goose are not available :P so I went into the flight sim directory and to the airplanes in simobjects and found that it doesn't work because they don't have panels. so if youre having the same problem, or if it's just me, and it might be, just copy and paste a panel to the goose or the m7 folders. but i'm still a little miffed that they didn't include panels in either plane in the Poorman edition of FSX :-/

That's because the aircraft in the standard version aren't meant to be flown. They are there as AI traffic only like some of the airplanes in FS9. TEven if you had panels they likely wouldn't fly well either just like the ones in FS9. If you want to see the Maule fly in FSX Standard load up the glider on the runway and press Ctrl+Shift+Y. The Maule will appear and tow you aloft.

You pasted a panel to the Maule so now you can fly it with a 2D panel.
But was it enough to get a Virtual cockpit as well ?

I'd go for the Maule package that Helms91 has mentioned - it's an awsome package, as good as some payware.
Cheers,

The virtual cockpit doesn't work and yeah the maule doesn't perform like it should, and it's gonna be hard to download a 60 mb file with 28.8 kbps dial-up :o
