Perhaps this has been asked before but...

In relation to airline textures.. are the old fs2004 texture formats compatable or do they need to be rebuilt from the ground up?

Are you talking about the texures found in your aircraft's folder and/or the AI aircraft's texture folder?

If so, no, they will work in FSX. If you have an FS9 aircraft that has a VC and the VC textures were
in the common Texture folder, they will need to be moved into the aircrafts "texture" folder(s) to be
visable.

Yeah i mean the paint work on the aeroplane :-)

I purchased PMDG 747 and want to move the textures for Cargolux across to the default 747 in FSX.

Textures for 3rd party aircraft like the PMDG 747 won't fit the default 747 either in FS9 or FSX.

I wouldn't expect repainted textures for the FS9 default aircraft to fit the FSX defaults.
