Some specs on your machine would help.
You should also read eno's post on FAQs here:
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1160553241There are some tweaks in there that MIGHT help.
Keep in mind, FSX is going to require a fairly beefy machine to run at reasonable frame rates with graphics turned up a bit.
Good Luck

If you want it to run faster, without any tweaks you would have to upgrade your computer. If you have low ram, upgrade that. Then a new processor?

If it's an '02 computer then I don't think I would bother upgrading that one to run FSX. You might be able to upgrade it enough to run FS9 decently. Otherwise, wait until Vista comes out and buy you a good machine then.
Always remember, forget about Manufacturers "Minimum Requirements". Look at "Recommended" and consider that a low end or middle of the road set up to run a program.

Yeah That game a ram killer. I had 1 gig ram and had to play with all sliders on minimum. Well almost all. Then yesterday I ran to the store and picked me up 2 - 512 ram sticks and poped em' in. So then I had 2 gigs. Now I can play with all sliders on high, with some custom. I got my Pc in 2003
