I think we fall under the "6800+" category, either that or we're SOL. ;D  Thanks Dave, I'll definitely have to give this a try.

I have a 256MB BFG 7800 GS OC so I would assume anyone using a 7800 card would use the 7600 settings???  :-?

Interesting stuff...has anyone actually used that guide and seen a change?

Well,as far as i can say,i noticed a significant improvement.
F/R are mainly in the low to mid 20ties,depending on the view mode. I was also able to see F/R reaching high 20ties to low or mid 30ties.That was in the "Flyby" mode for example.
System specs are;
AMD 64x2 3800+
2 gigs of RAM
XFX Geforce 7800GT

Yeah but is the trade-off worth it compared to what you had before?  It may perform better for you with those recommended settings but does it look the same, better, worse?  :-?

I use those settings and I might as well go back to FS95!. I just switched my card from an MX400 to an FX5200 and I still see no moving jetway and flexing 747 wings, but I do see all my plane textures, however all my runway signs are just white blocks.

That is absolutely amazing! I went from about 8 fps with really low settings to 12 fps with higher settings. I have an Nvidia GeForce 6200 PCI, and for the first time in its life, it actually hit 21 fps! [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] I highly recommend that anyone with an Nvidia card take a look at this list. Thanks for the tip! :)

this is really incredible. for a while it seemed that fsx was bringing my system to it's knees, but my system is so much smoother with these settings. i'll have to try some of the busier airports to really see. thanks.
