Exhuast/Thrust
Posted: Sat Dec 23, 2006 1:19 amIs there a graphic setting to display the "heat" I have seen the effect in some videos jsut wondering if it added in the video editing or maybe an effect in the game.

You mean, the heat blur effect ? So far, only LOMAC is able to display it, and FSX is not... or did I miss anything ? Never saw it on any non-edited screenshots so far.

Posted: Sat Dec 23, 2006 5:22 amMartyn Becker (microlite) released a heat haze addon. Look in the effects library here, I think. Not sure if it works witrh FSX....but it does for fs2004.

The effects look slightly different in FS2002 and FS9, so I have no idea what they will look like in FSX, as I won't be getting it anytime soon.
Unfortunate to hear that the locations may be off in FSX - you'd have to re-set them manually if this is the case, but this would be the same for any package developed with FS9 in mind. The method is in the manual.
