In FSX the EyePoint (Shift+Enter, Shift+Backspace, etc) works fine while in Virtual Cockpit.

In FSX the EyePoint (Shift+Enter, Shift+Backspace, etc) works fine while in Virtual Cockpit.  Does not work in the Cockpit View with Main Panel.  Worked fine in FS2004.  Would like to know if this capability no longer exists or is there some configuration change I must make.  Thanks for any help.  Jack ???

In the 2D panel you need to use CTL-Q and CTL-SFT-Q
to change the eyepoint.

Unfortunately, as soon as you look in any direction but forward
that setting reverts back to the default.

Paul,
Thanks for the help. I'm not a real big fan of the "Virtual Cockpit" and this really helps.  Thanks Again.
Jack :)

I wasn't a VC fan either, Jack, but I must say that in FSX they
are growing on me. The ability to pan the view using the
SpaceBar+Mouse is pretty usefull.

I only fly using the VC if the VC is well implented. One drawback in
the FSX VC implementation is that they are difficult or impossible
to "customize" by adding additional gauges. I could often do that
in FS9 but in FSX only the areas where the gauges currently
exist can be changed, thius you must remove a gauge to add one.

I still pop back to the 2D panel for many operations...setting up
or changing the AP and any "clipboard" accesses. Just easier
to see and reliably "click".

One thing I noticed in the 737-800 VC last night was that the
VC gauges are VERY dim as opposed to the 2D panel at night
without the panel lights on. Clicking on a gauge does bring up
the "pop-up" version that has the same "brightness" as  on
the 2D panel.

Thanks for the tips.  I'll try flying more in VC and maybe it will grow on me.  Thanks again.
