Your Welcome,

Do you think it made any difference?  Did you notice problems with any areas before the patch was released?  Thanks, Todd

Its only for those using add-on high res scenery however it does not hurt to install it.

I wonder when a REAL patch that fixes performance issues will come out?

The Autogen in fsX is poorly designed. I don't care if it was designed for 2012's computers.

It is now, 2006, and the fact that to get decent framerates you have to make the scenery look like crap is just pethetic.

I flew from KSEA to KPDX and it looked, and ran pethetically. That's with autogen on sparse.

No I am not running a Pentium 2, I was running a P4 650, 2gb RAM and X850.

I am just so mad and disappointed that it runs like this.

They need a patch.

End Rant. Anyway, that's just my opinion, and sorry if you don't agree. :D

Thanks

i havent tryed the autogen fix,  but what i normally do is no autogen, but rather max out all my ground settings. I get 8 FPS in dense citys and i can (though i lock it at 25) get 35fps in the country and mountians. It works for me   ;D

" Do you think it made any difference?"
Negative.
Now if I could just get a patch to change my bright-green bridges to have some texture I' d be happier. I haven't installed the texture-modifications by Ian Thatcher but will do soon.

When it's completed and fully tested by the beta team of course! ;D

Hey DizZa, what happened?

Now you say:

The Autogen in fsX is poorly designed. I don't care if it was designed for 2012's computers.

It is now, 2006, and the fact that to get decent framerates you have to make the scenery look like crap is just pethetic.

Before you said:

Cool post and it's pretty much 100% correct. However, I guess I am in a boat in which no-one else is in; my fsX runs perfectly.

I just had an amazing flight, KJAC (Jackson Hole), to U59 (driggs reed mem). Turn up your mesh and texture settings, and take that Flight. You will enjoy it!

fsX by default runs like crap. Do ALL these tweaks, optimize your system, mess with driver settings, and boom, it made my fsX run awsome on my upper midrange system. (AMD 3500+, 2gb RAM, X850XT PE).

Vista RC2 runs OK. So I'm planning on getting a mid-lower end DX10 video card + Vista. With the Vista optimizations I hope to push some settings higher while still retaining the same framerate (Same Framerate is 20-23fps and very smooth).

hehe I don't think Microsoft is going to sue you over saying MS, or M$. :D

EDIT: I wrote M $ and it changed to M$. What's going on!?

Did you downgrade??? ;) ;) ;D

lol

Sorry for this slightly trollish post, but I remember countless 'It runs just fine on my KillZor rig  ;D ;D" posts from  DiZza a few weeks back and it just it made me laugh.... :D
