New to FSX?

Sorry if this has been said before, but it's getting close to midnight I'm too tired to so a search, so bear with me...

...did Microsoft update the flight dynamics so that it simulates real air flow? I just sent a plane into a flat spin (the 747 in the test flight mission to be exact). Needless to say the mission was cut short, but no doubt, it was a flat spin that started with a "oh wow" which progressed into a "oh sh*t" and ended with lots of fire and smoke :P To the best of my knowledge, flat spins weren't possible in any of the previous versions of FS.

Flat spin was possible in FS9, it depended of the flight data of the aircraft, but I remember I could do it...
But it's nice to see that some default aircrafts can do it now.

The FD engine in fsX is the same as fs9, with a few tweaks. It's probably just the aircraft.cfg and air.cfg in the aircraft folder which is causing the spins.

MS says they updated the flight dynamics but that can mean almost anything from a complete rework to changing a couple decimals. I'm with DizZa, the numbers might have been tweaked but it's still the same old table dynamics. To switch to an airflow model would require scrapping the entire flight engine and writing it from scratch.
